You are kindly invited to express your interest in participating in the AquaFUELs Roundtable on the Algae State of the Art, to be held in Brussels on the 20th and 21st of October, 2010.

AquaFUELs is intended to establish the state of the art on research, technological development and demonstration activities relevant to producing 2nd generation biofuels from non-food aquatic biomass, including algae. In order to understand the place of algae and aquatic biomass in the EU renewable energy sources portfolio, AquaFUELs will promote critical thinking and reasoning on the state of the art in this field. The panel of 40 experts invited to contribute to the presentations and following discussions of the Roundtable will bring together the leading experts in the field, with a view to draw realistic prospects on algae use for biofuels production – a necessary step towards future developments.

You are kindly requested to apply for participation by submitting your paper to the EBB Secretariat by July 26th, 2010 at the latest.
