Denmark has set out its priorities for its term of the EU Presidency, which it took over from Poland on 1 January, including a focus on sustainability and resource efficiency.

While acknowledging that the Eurozone economic crisis needed tackling, the country’s environment minister, Ida Auken, said that it was vital to press ahead with the low carbon agenda and hinted that it would seek to make energy efficiency legally binding.
