The Factories of the Future Public-Private Partnership (FoF PPP), launched under the European Economic Recovery Plan, addresses the development of the next generation of production technologies that will be applied from 2015 onwards.

The PPP for Energy-Efficient Buildings main goal is to address the challenges that the European construction sector and its extended value chain are facing in their ambitious goal of researching new methods and technologies to reduce the energy footprint and CO2 emissions related to new and renovated buildings.

The roadmaps set out the long-term direction of the PPPs over the coming years.

These two roadmaps have been produced by the industry leaders for both PPPs, following consultations with stakeholders. Both documents are available on the respective websites. As the topics for these two PPPs are implemented through Calls in the FP7 Co-operation programme, these roadmaps provide a good indicator of the direction of some of the FP7 themes particularly Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and New Production (NMP).
